SCIINNO IS COMBINING SCIENCE AND INNOVATION
A NORDIC UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOL PROJECT
Our project has grown from a need that has risen in the school world. We feel that students need to be given opportunities to explore the world in such ways that truly enrich the subjects in school. Our philosophy lies with renaissance ideology: we are embracing science phenomena from an innovative angle. One of our goals is to bring down strict school subject structures and allow people to see the big picture. Instead of being experts in a narrow or distinct theme, we want to be "uomo universale" and feel the great story of life.

LEARNING WITH SCIINNO
We believe that learning is an active process. With Sciinno, students will truly get their "hands dirty"; they will become teachers themselves in active study groups whereas the teachers’ roles become coordinators. Study groups are Nordic and members from each school will be taking part. We want to introduce and embrace an open source ideology in the learning material. Everything produced will be available for others. Most of the learning will happen in virtual classrooms but two mobilities will ensure that people will also get social interaction and real-life experiences.
